Rating: 5/5Fantastic daily driver, 5 buttons

This review is from: Logitech M510 Black 5 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser Mouse

Pros: - Simple 5 button layout. I don t need a keypad built into the side of my mouse.

--- Has a well-placed forward and back browse button.

- 1000 dpi

- Tilt wheel

Cons: - Wheel roll accuracy isn t consistent across units. It can also degrade

- Grip rubber isn t gonna last much more than a couple months of daily use. Nails and finger tips will wear it down fast

Other Thoughts: I have used this mouse as my daily driver for over 5 years. I love the simple 5-button design no stupid keypads on my mice. and I use it regularly for various types of gaming from GTAV to Depth. not an ultra-competitive gamer. It has a few downsides but overall I d recommend this as a daily driver.

Rating: 5/5Just fantastic.

Pros: - Solid feel, comfortable design

- Enough buttons for most functions

- Exceptionally long battery life- I finally replaced mine for the first time after more than a year

- Accurate, rarely needs cleaning

- As nice or nicer than much more expensive models- I ve tried several others to see if I liked them better Logitech m560, Several Razers, Microsoft this and that, etc etc keep coming back to the 510.

Cons: It spoils you. I had to buy one for my work machine too because I couldn t stand using the m560 they bought for me.

Other Thoughts: All purpose mouse that you won t be disappointed in. You can game with it, work with it, travel with it, etc. It s REALLY cheap for what you get.

For you folks that like to fidget with something when you think- when you set it on a desk upside down, you can spin it with your index finger like a top. For reasons I can t explain, this is very gratifying.

5/5 would recommend.

Rating: 5/5Absolutely fantastic

Pros: The grip is really comfortable and ergonomic. The back/forward buttons are very nicely positioned; they re easy to get to, but not in the way. The scroll wheel is very nice, and I really love being able to scroll horizontally. Left/right/middle clicking all feel great, and the clicking sound isn t too loud. The USB receiver is small enough that I can just leave it in my laptop even when I m traveling. The mouse is plug and play -- no setup or drivers required. Battery lasts a really long time; I ve had mine for like 14 months and I think I ve replaced the batteries maybe once though I do turn the mouse off whenever I m not using it, which has surely helped.

Cons: I m a Linux user, and unfortunately the Logitech Unifying Receiver software doesn t work with Linux. Most users won t need this software, but if you ever lose your receiver and have to get a replacement, or if you want to link another Logitech device to your receiver, you need the software. But if you re on Windows, this shouldn t be a problem not sure about Mac.

Other Thoughts: This is my long-standing favorite mouse, and the only mouse I ever buy anymore. I don t see myself switching from the M510 any time soon.

Rating: 5/5Good Mouse

Pros: Fits my hand well.

Great range. I moved away 16 feet to the far wall and it still worked perfect. Didn t see any reason to try it any farther.

Cons: 2 buttons on left side by thumb. One on each side would be great but 2 together is not so good.

Other Thoughts: Don t see why several of you have had problems with range. 16 ft was no problem for me and I m sure it would have worked farther.

Rating: 2/5Excellent ergonomics meets terrible engineering

Pros: The physical design of the mouse is very pleasing. It s quite comfortable in your hand.

Cons: Everything else. The biggest complaint seems to be that that it gets terrible reception, and my experience is no exception. It s nearly impossible to do any sort of gaming as the mouse constantly jitters, and the cursor moves at odd and unexpected angles. Basically, smooth movements for FPS gaming is out of the question, and quickly selecting small units in RTS games is like gambling Sometimes you hit sometimes you miss. You tend to get used to expecting where your cursor should be, and this mouse makes that nearly impossible.

Another issue that I haven t seen in the other comments is that the sensor on the bottom of the mouse is off-center. You can turn most mouses to make minor adjustments for comfort without the cursor moving too much. Because this mouse s sensor is off center the cursor moves a ton when rotating the mouse. It s very annoying and can cause problems when quickly adjusting the mouse s angle for comfort.

Other Thoughts: If you intend to do any sort of gaming DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE Actually, just don t buy this mouse in general.

Rating: 5/5Full size Mouse

Pros: Full size. Hand cramps are gone.

Cons: Optional software is a pain to update sometimes.

After it s up-to-date you are good to go.

Other Thoughts: Mouse wheel doesn t spin like my old M525.

I miss that feature, because I could scroll documents with lightning speed.

If you like that tactile feel in a scroll wheel, this mouse is for you.

Rating: 5/5I LOVE the little USB pocket inside.

Pros: Just needed a simple wireless mouse for my laptops. I now have 2 of these and it fulfills my basic need of a compact mouse as well as a back/forth button which is important to me. BONUS is when transporting it, there is a sweet internal usb pocket in the battery compartment. Simple but wonderful.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: None

Rating: 1/5Junk

Pros: Tilt wheel, long battery life, good ergonomics right handed, though smaller than I d like.

Cons: Wireless signal strength

Other Thoughts: I ve had this mouse for six or seven months now, and I originally bought it for my HTPC. I wanted a wireless mouse that would work from the couch so I didn t have to get up to use my wired mouse. It was useless from more than a couple feet, so I decided to use it for my workstation computer instead. I literally have to have the mouse within 12 inches of the sensor for it to work properly. The USB dongle is in the front USB port of my case, which is on the left side of my desk, and the mouse is on the right side of my desk about 3.5 feet from the sensor and it barely works from there. To do precise movements with the mouse I have to put it 5 or 6 inches from the RF dongle, which makes this mouse almost totally useless. I will be replacing it with a trusty, always working USB mouse as soon as I can. It might work fine with a laptop, with the USB dongle within 5 inches of the mouse itself, but it is useless in almost any desktop situation without a USB extension to put the sensor within range of the mouse.

Rating: 5/5Awesome mouse

Pros: Excellent product. Fit, build, feel, operation are all top notch. Just the right blend between too basic and too complicated. Batteries last long enough I can t remember how long it s been between changes. The forward/backward buttons on the left side of the mouse is perfect for my thumb. I know it s a basic feature these days, but if you have never had a mouse with fore/back surf capabilities, you are missing out.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Logitech has produced the M510 for years now the wireless version of the nearly identical M500, and it has become my defacto go-to. I own a small business and I have bought 12 of the M510 s and complementary K320 keyboards. I love this wireless combo and rarely have had an issue with either unit. Only had one die, and I think we simply wore it out.
